Why are we doing this?
God's will for us to pray, and to pray unceasingly...as mentioned in Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians. Well, I can say a short prayer asking God for this or to do that. But I must admit that unceasing prayer is not something we do on a regular basis.
And yet, we all know in many cases, the reason that God moved is because it is a result of prayer. Jesus himself mentioned that parents will not give stones when we ask for bread. And even if God does not want to do anything, he will eventually give in to the person who keeps on knocking at the door..which is why we should not stop our habit of prayer.
So, what should we pray about? And how should we do this?
I think of no better example example to emulate the prayers uttered by prayer warriors. I have been fortunate to be in a Whatsapp groupchat that frequently receives message from parents who are part of a group of intercessors, i.e. ones whose task is to pray to God for others, pleading their case and ask for divine intervention. If we can only get a hold of those prayers and echo them in our own prayers, would God not move as well?
